TALENTED teenage golfer Jordan Zunic continues to enjoy great results on the courses of Australia.

A fourth-place finish in the Australian Boys Amateur Championship in Melbourne started a two-week period that further enhanced his already impressive resume.

Subsequent wins in the under 17 state match play championships and The Grange Junior Classic have given the 16-year-old added confidence.

Zunic's coach, Shaun O'Toole, is delighted with the way his young star is progressing.

"It was a good effort in real tough conditions at the Australian juniors," O'Toole said.

"He excels in the tough conditions, he has that stinger shot which gives him so much ball control in the wind.

"He is going well but is still working very hard, he still does all his weights and running and core strength work, he knows he has to work hard to get where he wants."

Another indication of Zunic's ability to handle tough conditions came when he finished sixth in the NSW Cup at the NSW Golf Club in Sydney.

He beat a number of Australian and NSW amateur (open) squad members in the windswept event.

Zunic wasn't the only Illawarra junior to make the cut at the Australian juniors.

Fifteen-year-old Aaron Keevers and Jake Parkinson also made it as far as the final two rounds of the tournament.
